Nani's Story

Meet Nani! If you're looking for a loving, devoted friend who's happiest right by your side, Nani might just be your perfect match. This sweet and snuggly girl has been affectionate with everyone she's met and is great with children.

Nani has some guard dog instincts and will let out a deep, impressive bark when strangers come to the door, but it's just her way of keeping her loved ones safe. At night, she settles quietly in her kennel and sleeps soundly until morning. She walks nicely on a leash, though she can be reactive toward other dogs, cats, and bicyclists, so she'd do best with an owner who can help her manage those moments.

Indoors, Nani has been a perfect houseguest. She's not destructive with household items, and while she loves tearing apart her toys, she can be trusted to lounge peacefully for hours if you have to step out. More than anything, Nani just wants to be close, whether that's curled up beside you or resting her head in your lap on the sofa.

Her heartworm treatment and care while at the HSNCF are generously supported by The Whitney Perkins Team.
