Our Mission

The Humane Society of North Central Florida is a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue organization that has been serving the Gainesville, Florida community for over 40 years. Active programs include a companion animal adoption center, pet fostering, thrift and pet supply sales, as well as educational and advocacy initiatives.

Adoption Policy

If you are interested in adopting, please submit an application at www.humanesocietyncfl.org/adopt. Our Adoption Fees are as follows: Dogs Puppies (Under 5 Months) – $350.00 Medium & Large Breed Adult Dogs (Over 5 Months) – $150.00 Small Breed Adult Dogs (Over 5 Months, Under 25 Pounds) – $300.00 All dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested (if over 6 months of age) and up-to-date on appropriate vaccinations by age. Cats Kittens (Under 5 Months) – $125.00 Adult Cats (Over 5 Months) – $75.00 All cats are spayed/neutered, microchipped, FELV/FIV tested (if over 3 months of age) and up-to-date on appropriate vaccinations by age.
