She was rescued from South Korea after being raised for the dog meat trade, where brindle-colored dogs are often valued more.<br/><br/>She was found living in a small cage, and it took a dedicated rescuer several months to finally secure her freedom. During that time, Nami escaped into the mountains, leading to a careful and determined effort to bring her back to safety.<br/><br/>Despite everything she's been through, Nami has a sweet, gentle spirit. She greets people with a soft smile and is learning to trust more each day.
