Nalah's Story

On the night of July 12, AALOC received an urgent call through our Pet Aid line—a one-year-old French Bulldog named Nalah was in labor with three puppies and desperately needed help. Her original owner had planned to surrender her to a shelter, but a kindhearted neighbor stepped in to give Nalah a chance. Just six days later, Nalah went into labor—but complications quickly arose.

With no car and no means to afford emergency care, the new owner called multiple animal organizations, pleading for help. AALOC was the only one to answer.

One of our dedicated volunteers rushed Nalah to a veterinary urgent care clinic, where an emergency c-section and spay were performed just after midnight. Two male puppies were delivered—tiny fighters named Noah (cream-colored) and Nicky (brindle). Heartbreakingly, the third puppy didn’t survive. The puppies Noah and Nicky are now living with new families but mama Nalah still needs to find her forever love. We believe Nalah is a purebred French Bulldog.

Please apply to adopt Nalah at www.AALOC.org. Once your application is reviewed and approved we will contact you to make an appointment to visit us at AALOC to meet Nalah and get to know her a bit.

Adoption donation includes spay/neuter, vaccinations, and a microchip. Applications require a veterinary reference and home visit. We adopt to residents of Orange County, CA and surrounding areas. Please note: For families with children, we require children to be 10 years of age or older, although exceptions are made depending on the circumstances.
