Nachi

Nachi is a sweet, affectionate 2.5-year-old Italian Greyhound with a big personality who thrives with calm, confident guidance. After coming into rescue with no training and a history of instability, he has made tremendous progress both emotionally and physically in foster care and is now ready for the right forever home.<br/><br/>Nachi does best in a consistent household where someone is home most of the time. He loves being with his people, enjoys car rides, walks nicely on leash (especially if he gets to carry a stick!), and is highly food motivated, making him eager to learn and a great candidate for continued training and tricks. Clear boundaries, routine, and confident leadership are important for his success.<br/><br/>He would ideally do well with another playful dog, especially an Italian Greyhound or similar sighthound, to help model good behavior and match his energy. He loves toys, enjoys playful antics with his foster dog sibling, and is cat-safe, though he may try to engage cats in play.<br/><br/>Nachi is recently house-trained and will need continued consistency to stay on track. He settles well in a crate when introduced positively and currently wears a male wrap indoors as a precaution while reinforcing habits.<br/><br/>He loves children and enjoys cuddling with his foster family’s 8-year-old son while watching TV or playing games. He would do best with dog-savvy kids.<br/><br/>Nachi has overcome a severe leg injury with incredible resilience and is currently on Fluoxetine and monthly heartworm prevention. He’s a loving, entertaining little dog looking for a patient, committed family to continue helping him thrive.<br/><br/>Nachi is currently being fostered in Bel Air, MD.
