Meet Mydas! Mydas is approximately 4 years old. We're told his dad was a Golden Retriever/Labrador mix, and his mom was an American Staffordshire Terrier-type mix. <br/><br/>Mydas's whole world was turned upside down when one of his owners was incarcerated, and the other was overwhelmed and not able to care for him and all of his animal friends. He was kept temporarily on someone's property in an outdoor kennel, but because he was an indoor dog, he wasn't a fan of that isolation outside and they wanted to find him a better situation. <br/><br/>Mydas lived with 4 other dogs, as well as cats, children of all ages, and farm animals (including chickens, ducks, potbellied pigs & horses!) He was friendly with all of them, and would likely prefer a home with other animals since he's used to having friends. Because of all the changes he's endured, he will likely need plenty of time to settle in and decompress while he absorbs all of the new information. We do recommend utilizing a crate if possible, just to give him a space of his own. This should also help him to learn the new potty routine and stay off of your counter tops as he really loves food! ;) <br/><br/>Mydas rides well in the car and would love to join you any time he's able to. He'd make a great companion for someone who is open to exercise and training, as well as bonding & forming a relationship with your dog. He's a sensitive boy who will likely connect with you very quickly. He does know "Sit", "Down" and "Shake" and would love to learn more! <br/><br/>Mydas has been through so much stress and change in the last few months, so we would really love to find him a loving and understanding owner, and a family who wants to include him in their everyday lives.
