My, my, my…. meet Myah! This wee lass is 8 years old, but age is just a number to her. Myah is a very active girl who loves to play and seems to make dog and human friends easily. Even though she's an "adult," Myah still has a lot of puppy in her and can occasionally cause some mischief. She likes to counter surf and knows how to take food from the table. Her foster Dad is working very hard on correcting this behavior, but right now, you've got to keep an eye on her and food out of her reach. She also likes to dig. She can be quite the excavator but can be distracted and redirected.

Between all the puppy antics, Myah LOVES to run, walk and play. She's a go-go-go type of girl. She'll chase any squirrel that might dare set foot in her yard and probably would take a run at a bunny, too. She does have a pretty high prey drive. Because of that, she probably would not do well with cats. Myah loves to cuddle and asks for love and attention when not trying to keep you on your toes. She can be quite the talker as well. She likes a good chew toy, too.

The perfect home for this sweet girl would be a home with a fenced yard so she can get her run on. A home with another active dog would also be great to let her get more of that energy out. An active person/family will be a must to keep her active and mentally stimulated. A companion(s) to walk/run with her, play with her, and reap tons of love from a happy, tired dog would be a perfect match. As you can tell, Myah is a very smart girl, and it seems she has played her owners in the past and taught them well, so she gets what she wants. All this behavior can certainly be worked out of her, and we foresee Myah being a wonderful, well-balanced companion with just a little work. Could you be the one to make a difference for her?

We do require a home visit and a veterinarian reference. Please contact your veterinarian to give them permission to release information to us. Once we have reviewed your application and received a favorable reference from your veterinarian, our adoption coordinator will contact you. Please be patient as this process could take several days.
