Mya's Story

Meet Mya!

Mya is a sweet girl who recently arrived to us as part of a puppy mill release and is now beginning the journey of learning what it means to live in a home and be part of a family.

As a puppy mill survivor, Mya is still adjusting to a world that is very new and unfamiliar. While she may be shy or unsure at first, especially in new environments or with new people, she is starting to learn that gentle voices, predictable routines, and kind interactions can help her feel safe.

Mya is crate trained, which provides her with comfort and security, but she is not yet house trained and will need a patient family willing to continue helping her learn this skill with consistency and encouragement.

In her previous environment, Mya lived around children and did well with other dogs. With slow, proper introductions, she would likely do well with cats as well.

Every day is a step forward for a puppy mill survivor, and even the smallest milestones-like relaxing in a new space or showing curiosity-are meaningful signs of progress.

Mya is looking for a calm, understanding home where she can continue to build confidence at her own pace. In return, she has the potential to become a loyal and loving companion who truly blossoms with time.

If you're ready to help a dog discover what safety and love feel like, Mya may be the perfect match for you.

Mya is availbe for foster to adopt within 30 minutes of our shetler while we complete her medical.

All of our dogs are dewormed, spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and heartworm tested if they are old enough.
