Murray Border Collie & Spaniel Mix Palatine, IL

What can we say about Murray? Well, unlike his namesake Murray Hewitt from "Flight of the Conchords,” he is not from New Zealand, he's actually from down south. This 50 pound, approximately 1 year old Border Collie/Boykin Spaniel mix has been on quite the merry-go-round of situations and, at this point, he just wants to settle his dapper self down with the perfect forever family. After all, Murray is pretty perfect himself and is definitely a people pleaser.

Now you might think Murray is pretty conservative with his jaunty bowtie, actually he is a gooberific dog who loves to play with the other dog at his foster home, as well as with the children (3 young boys). A quick learner, Murray already knows sit, down, paw/shake and roll over. He is also learning where he should go potty at his foster family's house. If you are wondering how to help Murray continue to learn, we have two words...pepperoni slices.  Yup, Murray gratefully accepts a slice of pepperoni after a job well done.

Murray’s perfect family would play fetch and run with him, provide squeaky and plush toys, and offer lots of ear scratches, belly rubs and snuggles.

If we do not receive any communication from you, the dog may be adopted out at our event prior to 12 pm if the perfect home comes along. :-)

However, visual breed identification is unreliable. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog’s individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess. Dogs are individuals.
