Meet Murphy! 🐾<br/>Murphy is a handsome 5-year-old Boston Terrier/French Bulldog mix weighing in at about 26 pounds. This fun-loving boy came into rescue through Boston Terrier Rescue of Western Washington and is now looking for a forever family to call his own.<br/><br/>Murphy is neutered, house trained, and crate trained, though these days he prefers having the run of the house. He spends most of his time loose indoors with access to a dog door leading to the backyard, where he can come and go as he pleases. While he used to enjoy his crate, it’s not really his favorite spot anymore.<br/><br/>This playful pup has a great personality! Murphy loves food, zoomies around the yard, affection from his people, and a good game of tug-of-war. After playtime, he’s just as happy to curl up for a cozy snooze. He enjoys being wherever his people are—on the sofa, hanging out outside, or just spending time together.<br/><br/>Murphy has attended puppy training classes and already knows several commands, including sit, stay, and “go to your spot.” With some continued training and consistency, he will thrive and keep building on those skills.<br/><br/>He is good with most other dogs and has lived with children. Like many clever pups, Murphy has been known to sneak a snack from unattended plates if the kids wander away. He just can’t resist a tasty opportunity! He also rides very well in the car, making him a great companion for outings.<br/><br/>Murphy can be a little leery of strangers at first and may seem nervous in new situations, but once he feels comfortable, his sweet and playful personality shines through. One of his quirks is that he sometimes hides under the bed when he wants a quiet retreat, and he really doesn’t like being pulled out from his safe space. Giving him time and patience helps him feel secure.<br/><br/>Murphy’s perfect home would include a secure fenced yard and a family that will love him, include him in their daily activities, and continue working with him on training. He would benefit from attending an obedience class with his new family, where he can keep learning and bonding with his people. Murphy has so much love to give and is ready to share his goofy, affectionate personality with the right family.
