ID # 183502<br/><br/>Murphy came in as an owner sign over. Initially he was growling and would avoid contact, body flat. Once familiar with his new surroundings Murphy has came around nicely. Although he does tend to cower when you reach at him too quickly, he does recover and happily moves on. Murphy is only about one year old. In the beginning It would be a good idea to have Murphy drag a leash at all times (even in the house) this way you’re not grabbing at him, you can control a situation from the end of the leash. Murphy will need time to adjust to his new surrounds, he does best if you give him space to approach on his own. He would do best in a quieter home as he can be nervous and unsure of new situations. Keeping in mind his breed, once comfortable and trusting you may see more of the terrier traits emerge, high energy, vocal, mischievous and fearless. Murphy would do well with another fur sibling, his playmate really brought him out of his shell, and he seems to be happy to interact with like size dogs.
