Mulan's Story

When an Animal Control officer picked up this stray... they couldn't believe their eyes. This poor dog has suffered years of neglect which was evident with her matted fur and crippling long toe nails. Back at the shelter they gave her a much needed bath and shave. It was then they could tell she was a female pekingese, approximately 8-9 years old with pretty good size wounds. So off to the vet she went where they also learned she is blind. The search started for the owner. Who could let their dog get in such horrible shape? When no owner was found, she was moved to a foster home and named Mulan. In her foster home she continued receiving medical care and lots of TLC. She is now up to date on shots, spayed, and has had her teeth cleaned. With her hair now clean... she is absolutely adorable. She is not housebroken but does well if you take her out on a regular basis. She will need 2 different eye drops 2 X day for the rest of her life. Because she is blind we would recommend she goes to a home with no small children. Her adoption fee is $135.
