At Venturing Pack Rescue, our mission is to match each of our animals with a loving, responsible, and permanent home. We are committed to setting every adoption up for success through a thoughtful and transparent process. Here’s how it works: 1. Submit an Adoption Application Start by filling out our [online adoption application. This helps us learn more about your home, lifestyle, and what kind of companion you’re looking for. > *Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Submitting an application does not guarantee adoption, but it’s the first step toward being matched with a great fit!* 2. Initial Review & Follow-Up Our team will review your application and contact you within 3–5 business days. If we feel there may be a match, we’ll schedule a phone or Zoom call to talk through the animal’s needs and your expectations. 3. Meet & Greet If the initial call goes well, we’ll arrange a meet and greet (in person or virtually depending on location). If you already have pets, we may require a safe, neutral introduction depending on the animal’s temperament. 4. Home Check / Virtual Walkthrough We conduct a brief home check—either in person or via video call—to ensure the environment is safe and appropriate for the specific animal’s needs. 5. Adoption Approval & Agreement If all goes well, we’ll move forward with an official adoption approval. You’ll be asked to review and sign our Adoption Agreement, which outlines care requirements and our policies (including our return policy and lifetime support). 6. Adoption Fee & Final Steps Once the agreement is signed, the adoption fee is collected. This fee helps cover medical care, supplies, and transport for the animals in our care. You’ll receive: * Vet records and vaccination history * Microchip registration info * Transition tips and resources 7. Welcome Home! Congratulations! It’s time for your new companion to come home. We offer a 2-week trial period to ensure it’s a good fit for both of you. Our team is available for support and guidance during this time and beyond. 8. Ongoing Support Adoption is just the beginning. We’re here for you if questions or concerns come up—whether it’s next week or next year.
