Hi… my name is Minnie.

I’m about 2 years old Beagle / Border Collie mix about 19lbs.
and before I was rescued, I was a mama.

I came into the shelter with my puppies—
tiny little lives who depended on me for everything.

I’m spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and healthy, but the thing I want most isn’t found in a medical chart.
It’s found in a family…
a lap…
a warm voice…
a safe place to rest my head.

I am from Southern California and planning to travel to Washington or Oregon or even Vancouver, BC if there is a potential adopter for me. My adoption fee is $800USD

Here is my story:

I didn’t have much…
but I gave them everything I had.

My warmth.
My strength.
My love.

Even when I was tired… even when I was hungry…
I made sure they were okay.

Because that’s what moms do.

I don’t know if anyone ever noticed me back then.
Most people looked at the puppies… they’re smaller, cuter, easier to love.

And me?
I was just the one in the background…
watching… waiting… hoping my turn would come too.

Now my puppies are safe.
And for the first time… it’s my turn.

My turn to be cared for.
My turn to be someone’s baby.

Nowruz Animal Rescue Group's Adoption Policy
Our Foster-to-Adopt Process At Nowruz Animal Rescue Group, we follow a foster-to-adopt process to ensure that each pet and family are a perfect match for one another. This approach allows both the dog and the adoptive family to adjust and bond before making a lifelong commitment. Step 1: Application Once a pet is listed for adoption, interested families are invited to fill out an online application form. This form includes: Three personal references The name of the veterinarian who will care for the pet Step 2: Application Review & Phone Chat After reviewing the application, we contact strong candidates for a phone interview. This gives us a chance to get to know the family better and answer any initial questions. Step 3: Home Check If the phone conversation goes well, we arrange a home check to ensure the living environment is safe and suitable for the specific pet. Step 4: Meet & Greet Next, we schedule a meet and greet with the dog and the family—either at the home or a secure, neutral location. One or two meetings may be arranged so everyone, especially the pet, has time to feel comfortable. During this time, we also complete reference checks. Step 5: Foster-to-Adopt Trial If the family decides to move forward, the dog begins a foster-to-adopt trial period. We deliver the pet to their new home along with essentials such as: Collar and leash Food and treats Favorite toys We encourage families to stay in touch throughout the transition. If you need support or guidance, we are just a phone call away.
