Mr. Wiggles's Story
Mr. Wiggles A186292
37 lb. neutered male, approx 10 months old

-This handsome boy's name is definitely fitting! He loves to spin and wiggle and romp around. He's very goofy!
Despite all his spunk, he walks very nicely on a leash. -He's playful and seems to get a kick out of "shucking and jiving" to try to get away from you. It's all a game to him and is adorable. Don't worry...he ends up giving in and coming back for pets and lovin in the end! Toys on the other hand, seem to be a little scary. This little yellow ball went flying past him and he ducked! "Lady, what did I ever do to you!" 🎾 I tried to get him to engage with multiple different toys and he just wouldn't.
-Inside it took him a while to settle in. He was initially nervous, but in time, he laid between my legs for pets and all his worries melted away. I even got a few little kisses!
-He is food motivated, sits most of the time (puppy brain) and takes them nicely
-Will need some puppy training. Please keep that in mind if you want a puppy. They require time and patience to be the best that they can be!
-Seems non reactive to dogs nearby and may do well living with a fur sibling after slow and proper intros

Unknown behavior with dogs/cats/kids

*Meet all of our adoptable pets on our website friendsofdacc.org/adopt

*Please keep in mind that the shelter can be a very stressful environment.

*Studies show that a minimum of 3 days decompression drastically lower stress hormones and allow the dog to show more personality after they have settled in.

*There is a suggested donation of $100 for our dogs, payable by cash, check or through paypal at the time of the adoption.

*To meet them please go to front door and a DACC staff member will assist you with adoption or fostering.

**And when coming to meet one of our dogs, please bring all the humans with you, but leave any current dogs at home. Staff will go over how to slowly and properly introduce them after a decompression period.**

*The shelter is open 7 days a week from 10:30-5:30, except for Wednesday when we open at 11:30.

**We ask that if you're looking to adopt, you arrive before 5:00 to be able to have enough time to meet the dog.

**1431 E Ferry St. Detroit
