Mr. Man's Story

A Christmas Miracle! Mr. Man came to us as a scruffy, unkempt little guy, but was transformed into a handsome, dapper looking gentleman with a personality to match! At 8 years old and weighing about 14 pounds, he is neutered, microchipped and up to date on all his vacinations. He has recovered nicely from having 11 teeth removed. He is a very curious dog, but extremely polite. He rarely barks and is the "chillest" dog, perfering to sit and watch rather than participate in rough housing. He goes for walks 4 times a day and is potty trained, but if you wait too long between walks he may not be able to hold it. He loves other dogs, kids and everyone he meets. He hasn't been around cats, but I don't think they will be a problem. If you don't mind being followed all over the house, being stared at or cuddling Mr. Man would love to meet you. Alternative Humane Society of Whatcom County's Adoption Policy

AHS does not do same-day adoptions. We provide a form called a “Statement of Interest” for potential adopters to fill out. When completed, this form is reviewed by an AHS volunteer (the animal’s Case Manager) who will contact any potential adopter with any additional questions and arrange a meeting if it looks like a good match. The potential adopter usually hears back from a volunteer within 1-2 weeks. The case manager will only be contacting SOI that our might be a good fit and will arrange a meet and greet. Adoption fees for DOGS are: Puppies (up to age 18 months): $425 (plus $200spay/neuter deposit for puppies that are not spayed or neutered at time of adoption)Cash only Adults (18 months - 8 years old): $350 Seniors (8 years and up): $225 Adoption fees for CATS are: Kittens (up to 6 months): $200 Young Adult cats (7 months -3 years) $175 Adult cats (4-7 years): $150 Senior Cats (8+ years) $100 Adoption fees include: Basic shots, spay/neuter, and microchip on dogs and cats (except puppies under 6 months of age). All cats are FIV/FELV tested.
