"Mr Lost"

“Mr Lost” – Male, 1.5 Years old, 15#, Westie Mix. Currently at the Vet in Annapolis getting shots updated, health checked, neutering, etc. This little guy is seeking a mom and dad as he was found wondering along the MD/PA border seeking adventure. He comes into the program as a happy little guy who is VERY hungry and would like a warm home for life as he knows first-hand how cold it gets at night. He is a little skittish but happy and house trained. He is looking for someone who will add a few pounds on him and be gentle as he figures out his new life. He loves people food and will eat gently from your fingers. He is learning that a leash training means he will never have to remember where home is located again.<br/><br/>Training Areas to become a great pet: Needs a gentle training program with lots of positive reinforcements.<br/><br/>While he may act unsettled in the first few days, he shortly be content, happy, playful and affectionate once he is again in a stable home environment.<br/><br/>Best Home: Mr Lost is a lovely little guy who just needs a happy home to make his life complete. Needs a human with a gentle voice as he responds to very gentle commands. Once in his new home, his family will need a little compassion and patience as he comes to understand that you are his new world and that his new home is his forever home. He will be totally devoted as soon as he understands that you are his new family. Would do as a one dog home with no kids or with a home with a same size dog. <br/><br/>Mr Lost says: “I need a new home as I went for a walk and then I realized I had no idea where I lived. The nice Animal Control people said I was cold and needed some food, I agreed with their assessment, so I accepted a ride in their van. No body came to the shelter to claim me so Westie Rescue came to my kennel look at me. I told the nice lady that I have a white coat so I must be a Westie Want 2 Be. She agreed and now I am at the Vet in Annapolis getting a “Tune Up” and tutoring, whatever that is. <br/><br/>For my new home I would like to have a great home with a human or two to pet me and be my best buddy. I like to play with toys (I am a great ball retriever) so the more the merrier. I am a very good-looking young guy who is part Westie and something else. Mom would never say. I am missing confidence. I love to be by your side in a chair or even better a couch. I love to travel in the car. I will try to sit on the driver’s lap. <br/><br/>I hung out at Aunt Tina’s for a day and she says I will need a little gentle obedience training and a good hearted human. I like that idea…<br/><br/>I have my own leash, but not much else as I forgot to pack anything when I went for that fateful walk. You know I got lost All I need is YOU and a new bed. Oh, children are ok. I know this is asking a lot but this is what I need to be happy and trusting. A fenced in yard home to explore would be wonderful.
