Mouse Melon's Story

Not quite as exotic as the fruit but equally tiny!
A lot can change in two weeks. We have seen Mouse Melon go from barely able to walk on his own and shaking in fear to acting like the puppy he is. Mouse Melon can still have a touch of nerves but he is coming out of his shell more each day. Mouse Melon is a smart little guy. He knows sitting close and making eye contact (with an ear flipped back) equals yummy snacks for his belly.

Chicago Animal Care and Control is located at 2741 S. Western Ave., Chicago, IL, and is open from 12pm to 7pm daily. Walk-in visitors are welcome and helped on a first-come, first-served basis. If you are planning to adopt the day you visit, please plan to arrive before 5:30pm. Visitors arriving after 5:30pm will still be able to view animals in Pavilions A-B-C until 7pm.

All dogs will be spayed/neutered and vaccinated before adoption.

All household members should be present to meet dogs (especially those under 18 and any decision-makers).

We recommend and can arrange dog-to-dog meet and greets for your current dog(s) to meet a potential dog sibling at the shelter. You will need to show proof of up-to-date rabies vaccination for your dog(s). Slow, cautious, and appropriate introductions are recommended after you allow time for decompression for the shelter dog.

If you have any questions, please email caccpetfinder@gmail.com

A311621
