Moose's Story

1 year old male Dachshund, about 17 pounds. Moose is a shy but sweet guy that is a local owner surrender. He is your classic Doxie, long and low, food motivated, gets attached to his person and likes to use his outside voice! He is looking for a Doxie savvy family that understands what owning a long backed dog means, ramps and all. A family ready to keep his back safe, belly trim and body well exercised! He is crate trained, learning to walk on a leash, does fine with the dogs in his foster home. Great for toenails and bathing. He is young, without a whole lot of life experiences, so his person will have to show him all the things, along with the big wide world. Would do best with a secure yard and older Doxie savvy children. Will definitely chase a cat! To request an adoption application, email smidgetrescue@hotmail.com

Adoption contract and fee applies. All adoptable dogs can be met at adoption events hosted every weekend or by private meet and greet after application review.
