Moose Labrador Retriever & Shepherd Mix Rochester, NY

We are in Rochester, NY, we adopt to people who live in the Rochester area. We do not ship our dogs and require home visits. Must live in area to adopt, will not respond to out of area/country requests. Additionally, if fencing is required it must be a physical fence and in place at time of home visit.

REQUIREMENTS: live in the Rochester NY area (within 1/2 hr drive) and have a physically fenced in yard for pup to safely run and play in.

Meet Moose This sweet and shy little German Shepherd/Lab mix traveled all the way from Texas to meet you!
At just 30lbs and 5 months old, Moose is completely crate trained and housebroken! When crated during the day, he can go about 5 hours before needing a potty break! At night Moose sleeps soundly in his crate.
Moose loves to play with the other bigger dogs at his foster family's house. He also was fine with an older calm cat. Moose LOVES people and just wants to be near you. He will snuggle right up next to you on the couch and will want you to scratch his ears. He also loves stuffed toys, anything that squeaks, taking naps in the sun, and loves running around and playing fetch in the yard! Though he doesn't have a full tail, it will melt your heart when he gets excited and his tiny tail bobs up and down!
Moose already knows "sit" and comes when you call him. He is incredibly food motivated which will make him highly trainable! This will help him to learn more basic commands and to get better with his loose-leash walking. He can be a little timid around loud noises and new people. When he's feeling unsure, he will come over next to you for reassurance.
If you are looking for a snuggly, sweet, adorable, and very trainable puppy, Moose could be the perfect guy for you!
He will be going to his adoptive home under a foster to adopt contract until his neuter is complete. You would be required to get him into our vet clinic once booked for 7:30 am, date TBD in Rochester and then pick up from rescue (3 to 4 pm) to finalize adoption at that time. For this reason we will not adopt to anyone outside our immediate adoption area. All our dogs have been spayed/neutered; treated for worms; heartworm tested (if age appropriate -7 mths or older); treated for fleas/ticks; microchip; and examined by veterinarian and given age appropriate vaccinations. We take every effort to ensure the health of the animal and you will receive a copy of all vet work performed.
