MOONPIE - literally the best

Meet Moonpie! She is 3 years and weighs 47 lbs.<br/><br/>This absolute gem of a dog couldn't be a better fit for any family! She is truly the best in so many ways. She might be one of the most easy going and affectionate dogs we’ve ever rescued.<br/><br/>Moonpie is also known as “Athena” but we affectionately call her Moonpie because we think it really suits her sweet personality!<br/><br/>She is CUDDLY! She is loving and affectionate towards everyone! She loves snuggling on the couch with people, giving face kisses. She will chill with you in her jammies while you watch TV, but we can’t guarantee she’ll stay awake for the entire movie, especially if she’s getting ear and belly rubs, which she loves. Movies are often interrupted by her absolutely hilarious piggy sounding snore! Please see video! Her foster mom calls her “piggy piggy snort snort” as a nickname. <br/><br/>Moonpie gets along great with other dogs. She’s currently in a home with another dog and is great with her. She loves to meet new dogs as well. She absolutely loves when the neighbor’s dogs come over to play and spins around with excitement!<br/><br/>Please note she’s not good with cats because she tries to chase them and the cats do not enjoy it!<br/><br/>She loves to sunbathe in the yard while her foster mom gardens. She also loves going to the beach, sitting in the sun, and digging in the sand, but she doesn’t seem interested in going in the water. <br/><br/>She’s a good eater as well and LOVES treats. Make sure to keep your treat bag out of reach because when you aren’t looking she might steal it ;)<br/><br/>She is an excellent traveler as well and does so well in the car. <br/><br/>She comes pre-loaded with training modules such as crate training, potty training, leash training, and knows her commands! She would be great for a first time dog owner or anyone wishing to add another dog to their pack! <br/><br/>Anyone interested in Moonpie is welcome to do a FaceTime with her foster who is one of our core volunteers!<br/><br/>She is spayed, vaccinated, fecal negative, heartworm negative and is ready to find her forever home!<br/><br/>**PLEASE NOTE: Moonpie is currently in Puerto Rico and will fly to her forever home once adopted! Please note that we can easily ship up the coast starting in FL all the way up to Virginia Beach, VA. The process is incredibly easy to get your dog over from Puerto Rico and we have done it thousands (not an exaggeration) of times!
