Moonpie's Story
Meet Moonpie, a gentle giant! Moonpie is estimated to be about a year old and a Pyrenees mix. He's sweet, gentle, and scared at the shelter we rescued him from. He is learning to walk on leash and is doing a great job. He is good with other dogs and kids but will chase the kitties so we recommend he go to a home without cats. He would do best in a home with a physically fenced in yard where he can lounge outside as Pyrs like to do. He's a big boy, weighing in at about 70 lbs. At the shelter he waits to potty outside, which indicates that he is potty trained, although we always expect a few accidents when learning the ropes of a new home. He is currently in AL but will be coming to Maine in late February and we hope to find him an amazing home.

If you think you might be interested in adopting Moonpie or just want to get pre-approved to adopt through us, please fill out an application on our website. Approvals are valid for one year and you will not have the waiting period of an application if you see a dog that you like! Approved adopters are placed on our email list for each transport and receive our Google slides that we send to all pre-approved adopters before posting on Petfinder and our social media and are eligible to attend our meet and greet events.
