Moon Pie's Story
Moon Pie will push her big head into your hand and keep it there until you start petting her.

She is a five year old female Cane Corso with a blue grey coat, amber eyes, and a white stripe down her chest. She came to us skinny, and it is clear she spent years having litters. Now her only job is keeping her people company.

Moon Pie is very affectionate and happiest with a hand on her. She looks up at whoever is holding her leash like she is waiting to see what you want to do next. She is also dog friendly, so she can go to a home that already has a dog.

A few honest things before you apply. Moon Pie has demodex mange, a skin condition that does not spread to people or other dogs, and her coat will need some time to grow back in. She is also underweight. We do not know yet how she does with children or cats, or whether she is house trained.

We prefer to schedule appointments for meet and greets to make sure someone is available to spend time with you. The shelter is open Monday through Friday, 12pm to 4pm, and appointments outside of those hours may be available based on volunteer availability. Email adoptpetersburg@gmail.com to set up a visit or learn more today.
