Hi, I'm Monty!<br/><br/>I came to Mississauga Animal Services as a stray and was never claimed. Now I'm ready to find my forever home and the people I can call my own!<br/><br/>I'm a 1-2 year old American Bully, and I've been neutered, microchipped, dewormed, and fully vaccinated. I'm a young guy with a big heart, and I'm happiest when I'm close to my people; whether that's leaning in for cuddles, hanging out on a walk, or relaxing in a sunny spot just enjoying the moment.<br/><br/>I should share that I've been diagnosed with early signs of hip dysplasia due to poor genetics. This means I'll need a family who understands lifelong joint care and management to help keep me feeling my best. Things like maintaining a healthy weight, providing low-impact exercise, using joint supplements as recommended, and regular veterinary support will all be important for me.<br/><br/>In return, I promise to be a loyal, affectionate companion who's always happy to see you and just wants to be part of your everyday life. I don't need anything fancy just comfort, routine, and someone who sees me for the loving dog I am.<br/><br/>I've done well with other dogs here at the shelter, though I can still be a bit goofy and need continued guidance with my manners. I'm still learning the basics, but I'm eager and willing to grow with the right family. I would likely do well in a home with children aged 10 and older who can understand my needs and join in on my training.
