Meet Monroe, an 18 lb, 6 year old chihuahua–corgi mix with a heart as big as his ears.<br/><br/>Monroe was adopted from a shelter years ago and knew nothing but love. He had a happy home, a devoted mom, and a fur sister by his side. Then, last August, his world changed when his mom passed away from cancer. After the family home was sold, his routine disappeared, and eventually his dad could no longer care for him either. His sister found a new home. Monroe was just days away from being taken back to the shelter when his foster mom stepped in to save him, but he still needs a permanent home where he can feel safe and loved. <br/>Despite everything, Monroe’s spirit is gentle, loyal, and full of love. He is housebroken, potty trained, great with other dogs, and wonderful with kids.
