Monica's Story

Monica is one of the three adorable Friends Girls, born June 22, 2026 to a Poodle mom and Shih Tzu mix dad. She’s the tallest of her sisters at just over 6 pounds, but she’s still going to be a petite girl when fully grown. With those long, beautiful Chihuahua-like legs, we suspect Dad may have a little Chihuahua mixed in there somewhere!

And Monica? She is ALL about her people.

If you’re looking for a puppy who believes laps were created specifically for her, Monica is your girl. She loves to snuggle, soak up attention, and be right in the middle of whatever you’re doing. While her sisters are busy doing their own thing, Monica is perfectly content curled up in your arms. She’s the most outgoing of the trio and warms up to strangers almost instantly. Personal space? Monica has never heard of it. Your lap, your arms, your attention... she considers it all hers!

She’s a happy, affectionate little girl who wears her heart right on her nose.

Monica is also proving to be incredibly smart! She taught herself how to use the doggy door, is doing wonderfully with puppy pads, and is even learning to potty outside on command.

Monica will need a family prepared for the fun and work of puppyhood. She will need continued house-training, positive socialization, basic obedience, plenty of mental stimulation, and lots of appropriate play and exercise. Puppies this age are curious and energetic and may chew, mouth, bark, or get into mischief while learning what is expected of them. A consistent routine, patience, supervision, and positive reinforcement will help her grow into the wonderful little companion she is meant to be.

Monica will likely thrive with a family who enjoys having a little shadow by their side and is willing to continue nurturing her confidence and good manners.

Adoption application is available on our website: www.puppypawsrescue.org

Please note:

Pup cannot be left alone for more than 3 hours at a time. This is necessary for comfort breaks and much needed socialization for a pup this age.

For young puppies that leave unaltered:
A refundable $100 spay/neuter deposit for adopters with established spay/neuter history is required.
A refundable $200 spay/neuter deposit for adopters without spay/neuter history is required.
