Meet Mondo <br/><br/>At 3 years old and around 45 pounds, Mondo is the perfect itty-bitty micro bully. He's short, compact, built like a little tank, and has the kind of face that will make you smile every single day. Don't let his small stature fool you—his heart is absolutely enormous.<br/><br/>Some dogs come into rescue and quietly work their way into your heart... and then there's Mondo.<br/>Mondo has completely stolen ours.<br/>We don't know everything about his past or what he's been through, but we do know this: he deserves every ounce of love he's getting now. Since arriving in foster care, Mondo has shown us what an incredible companion he is. Even after just one day of caring for him, Joel's review was simple: "This is the best dog you've ever had." And honestly... we couldn't agree more.<br/><br/>Mondo is the kind of dog who makes life better just by being in it. He has a sweet, easygoing personality that wins people over almost instantly. He loves going for walks, enjoys spending time with his people, and is perfectly content soaking up belly rubs and relaxing after a day of adventures. He simply wants to be loved—and he gives that love right back.<br/><br/>He's also been an absolute gentleman in the house. Mondo has had zero accidents in foster care. While we don't crate him, he has earned the freedom to roam his area because he doesn't have accidents, doesn't chew on things, and doesn't tear anything up. He's proven himself to be trustworthy and has wonderful house manners.<br/>Mondo gets along wonderfully with dogs, kids, and cats, making him an easy addition to just about any family. His gentle, loving nature shines through with everyone he meets.<br/><br/>If you want to make a new best friend, bring out the snacks! Mondo absolutely loves watermelon and is pretty sure that just about anything you put in front of his face was meant specifically for him. His enthusiasm for treats is just one more thing that makes him so endearing.<br/><br/>When Mondo arrived at the Tennessee shelter, he had paint on his coat. The lighter patches you see aren't part of his coloring—they're simply remnants of that paint. Despite whatever circumstances led him there, he has remained one of the sweetest, most loving dogs we've ever had the privilege of fostering.<br/><br/>Right now, Mondo is enjoying the VIP treatment in his foster home while we help him put on a little healthy weight. His days are filled with nutritious meals, probiotics, vitamins, plenty of walks, soft blankets, and all the affection he can handle. We joke that if he could talk, he'd probably complain if his yogurt was three minutes late! But after everything he's been through, we think he's earned a little spoiling.<br/>Most importantly, Mondo is safe. He's cherished. And he's finally getting to just... be a dog.<br/>If you're looking for a loyal, goofy, affectionate companion with wonderful house manners and a heart of gold, this little pocket pittie may just be your perfect match. We can't wait to see him find the forever family that will love him as much as we do.<br/><br/>Every dog adopted through Once Upon A Prayer Pet Rescue goes home with a collar, leash, two bowls, some food, toy, and all of their medical and microchip information.
