Mona Lisa's smile seems to hide a happy secret. Our Mona is no different.

Mona is a pretty compact dog of about 2-3 yrs of age who packs a good amount of playful energy into her little figure. She is joyful and excited for walks and interactions with volunteers. She comes out of the gate displaying that excitement, but quickly calms and settles into her walks. She is very responsive to calm, but firm corrections so she would do well with someone who will allow her to burn off her energy, but still set clear boundaries and expectations. So far, Mona doesn't show that she has been taught any commands, but she is very smart and responsive so we're confident she'll be a quick learner. Our team of volunteers is ready to fill the gaps from a lack of prior training. Mona seems to really enjoy tug of war and likes playful interactions and attention. She is not shy about showing love and giving kisses and will be excited to jump right into your arms or lap if you let her. She seemed to really like children at recent events. As far as dog play, Mona prefers male friends.
