MOMO's Story

Our Momo hasn't spent any time at an air temple or stolen any peaches from Sokka, but she is definitely up for getting into some mischief and can resource guard her food. Much like her namesake, this little girl can inadvertently cause chaos as she likes to walk close enough to her humans that she can become a trip hazard! OTHER PETS: Momo is comfortable and relaxed with other dogs, reading body language well. While she would likely get along with most other dogs, it is IMPERATIVE that if she is adopted into a home with other dogs that they are fed separately to set Momo up for success. Momo should meet any dog she would be living with prior to adoption. [Likely (Must Meet First)] OWNER EXPERIENCE: [First Dog] Experience with positive reinforcement or willingness to learn. KIDS: Momo has been comfortable with handling and enjoys interacting with humans but has exhibited some resource guarding around food. Momo should be fed alone (crate or gated feeding is a great way to do this) and whomever she lives with needs to respect that Momo should be left alone while eating. Any minors should meet Momo prior to adoption. Food, toys, and valued items should be traded for things of equal or higher value to keep everyone safe, and teach her that she won't lose great things! [10+ / dog savvy (Must Meet First)] ACTIVITY LEVEL: Momo has not been interested in toys but is very playful with humans. She is comfortable and appropriate on leash and curious about the world around her. Regular exercise combined with enrichment and mental stimulation will help fully meet her needs. [Good Walking Buddy] VETERINARY CARE: [Routine] LEVEL OF TRAINING NEEDED: Positive training will help Momo bond with her new owner and learn new skills and fun tricks while building confidence. [Minimal] GROOMING: Regular brushing will keep Momo's coat clean and matt-free between grooms; she should be groomed every 6 - 8 weeks. [Professional Grooming]
