Molly's Story

Molly, a 21 pound, 5-6 year old sweetheart is looking for a home. Like most of the beagles we take in, she is a little shy and skeptical of people at first, but warms up as soon as she realizes you are a friend. She attended our last adoption event and did great. She loved everyone she met.

She gets along well with the two other dogs in the foster home. You can frequently see her curled up in a dog bed or laying on the couch next to her foster sister. She would be great as a companion if you are looking for a friend for your current dog.

She does like car rides, baths and short walks. When she came in she had a few minor medical issues due to the horrible conditions she lived in, but she is slowly building up her stamina and acting more like a beagle. She is still pretty chill in the mornings and doesn't mind sleeping in. She sleeps in her crate all night and doesn't mind being crated if left alone during the day. She hasn't had any accidents in the house.

She seems to be enjoying her new life as an indoor pet and will get up on the couch next to you or in a lap if invited.

Molly is spayed, micro-chipped, UTD on vaccines and negative for heartworms.

If you would like to meet this sweet, gentle beagle and potentially give her a wonderful new home, our application can be found at www.homesfurhounds.org

She is located in Williamsburg, Va.

Homes Fur Hounds, Inc.'s Adoption Policy
1. Once you have identified the dog(s) you are interested in meeting, you must submit an Adoption Application. You can find the application at https://www.homesfurhounds.org 2. Be patient. We occasionally have a high volume of applications, especially on puppies. 3. If your application is approved you will be contacted to arrange a meet and greet with the dog(s) you are interested in meeting. Whenever we have more than one applicant who is approved, we set up the meet and greet in the order in which the applications were received. 4. We are a small rescue group and do require home checks. Therefore, we only adopt to VA, NC and MD. Exceptions are made for medically needy or seniors if no qualified applicant is located in our adoption area. 5. We do keep applications on file for 6 months, so even if you aren’t selected for a particular dog, if you see another dog of interest, let us know and we will consider your application at that time. 6. Please don’t be offended if you are not selected to adopt. We try to match the dog with the BEST home for them. Just because you weren’t selected for a specific dog does not mean you can’t apply for another one. 7. Our adoption fee is $300.00.
