We are in Rochester, NY, we adopt to people who live in the Rochester area. We do not ship our dogs and require home visits. Must live in area to adopt, will not respond to out of area/country requests. Additionally, if fencing is required it must be a physical fence and in place at time of home visit.


Required: Sturdy physical fenced yard as this girl loves to run and play She also needs to be an only dog as she does best on her own. While she could eventually walk with other dogs, as seen in her profile picture, this will take lots of introductions and time for her to feel comfortable. We also will not place her in home with young children.

Molly is a cattle dog/blue heeler mix. She is 18 months old and about 45-50 pounds.
She is a people-friendly, exuberant, confident girl who loves to run and leap in the yard, in addition to taking several long walks each day, and has made great strides in learning not to pull on the leash and not to jump up. She will to continue to need training in these areas, though she is very good at sitting when commanded during a walk.
Molly is completely house trained and crate trained, and her foster home says she hasn’t needed to be crated since the first week she arrived. She would be ideal for a working person as she can be left alone in the house for the day. She chews only the toys given to her and sleeps through the night either on the floor or the couch or your bed!
She had hip surgery in the fall of 2020 and while mostly recovered, she still has stiffness at times in her leg.
Molly is very quick to learn, mastered sit, stay, come and paw fast and is very treat-motivated. She would be a great dog to take to agility training.
She has a high prey drive, so no cats in the house. While she can be feisty around other animals, she has made tremendous progress in this area and, with the right mix and proper introduction, she could be fine with other dogs to walk with but not live with. Because of her energy level, Molly needs to live in a household with adults and be the only dog in residence. Ideally, she would be a great one-person dog.
Molly is wonderful companion and will bring a lively and joyful spirit to her new home.

All our dogs have been spayed/neutered; treated for worms; heartworm tested (if age appropriate -7 mths or older); treated for fleas/ticks; microchip; and examined by veterinarian and given age appropriate vaccinations. We take every effort to ensure the health of the animal and you will receive a copy of all vet work performed.
