Hi, I’m Molly!<br/><br/>I am a total love bug, and my foster mom says I’m practically perfect. She thinks I will do best in a fairly quiet home, with a fenced yard where I can run and feel safe. I love snoozing on the couch and I’m learning that I enjoy trying to get treats out of my Kong toy. I’m not kennel trained yet, but when we practice going into it, I’ve been such a good girl, so I think I will get more used to that. I haven’t been very interested in toys, but that may change over time. The main thing that’s important to me is being near my person, and I would love for you to be home a lot - I’m an excellent shadow. Going to the kitchen? I’ll come too! Heading to the bathroom? Not without me! I like to be wherever you are, though I’m not a snuggly dog. I want to be near you on the couch or the bed, but not spooning. I do LOVE belly rubs and pets - I love getting spoiled with love and attention! I am also an excellent kisser and don’t drool at all!<br/><br/>I am a little nervous about new things. I do pretty well on a leash, and foster mom says with a little practice and positive reinforcement, I will be an excellent walker. I just get a little nervous when I see other people or dogs or vehicles. I also need to learn that car rides don’t have to mean bad things - right now, being in the car makes me feel very scared. I am fully potty trained and haven’t had a single accident. I’m also excellent at taking treats and I’m very calm about food. I don’t rush the bowl when it’s time for meals, and my foster mom can touch me while I eat. She even sticks her fingers in my food and I just don’t care one bit!<br/><br/>I previously used to live with two small dogs and a cat. With proper introductions, I can go to a home with other calm, respectful pets. We have a cat here in my foster home, but she’s more scared of me than I am of her. Mainly, I whimper at the gate because I just want to meet her. Sometimes I bark at the cats I see outside on the patio, but sometimes I just look at them quietly. When I’m quiet and see a cat, foster mom gives me a treat and we’re working on not reacting to them at all. I have a beautiful deep bark to let foster mom know when a package arrives, but other than that, the only time I make noise is to let her know I miss her when she goes into the other room to hang out with the cat, and I’m not allowed in there. <br/><br/>I am spayed, chipped and up to date on my vaccines. With love, patience and consistency in a schedule, I am going to be the most amazing friend for you!
