Introducing Mollie!<br/><br/>Mollie is loving, energetic, loyal, playful, and has the kind of personality that makes everyone fall in love with her within minutes. Whether she's curled up next to you on the couch, following you around the house, or greeting you after a long day, she truly just wants to be part of the family.<br/><br/>Mollie is an almost 4 year old Pitbull Terrier mix. We are not 100% sure on her breed, we were told pit/terrier mix but we believe she may also have some Mountain Cur in her as well. She is the perfect petite size for a medium sized dog, at about 45lbs and stays lean from her backyard zoomies. Mollie has lived in Angier, NC since being adopted at 6 months old. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines and receives her flea/tick/heartworm medication monthly. <br/><br/>Mollie has been house trained since about 6-8 months old and she hasn't had an accident in years. She is also good at notifying us that she needs to go potty by running to the back door and stomping her feet until we get her signal. We have also trained her to use a button that she can step on and it will say aloud "Go Outside" to notify us that she needs to go. Similar to ringing a doorbell. We have never tried these buttons for others commands but I bet she would pick up on them easily based on how quickly she took to this one. Mollie has also been formally trained by a board and train facility shortly after we adopted her at 6 months old. She knows the basic commands though she can occasionally get them mixed up. She usually gets it eventually if you give her a minute to think about it. The only command that she struggles with is heel, as she tends to be nervous when walking on the leash. She isn't a huge fan of going on walks, though she is always great when going on hikes at Raven Rock while leashed. She would much rather play in the backyard where she can run free. <br/><br/>Mollie is a fun-loving couch potato who loves to spend her days curled up in her bean bag chair or out in the backyard rolling in the grass or getting her zoomies out. She loves going on hikes (though it's been awhile since her last one). The perfect day to Mollie would be to spend 70% of her time snuggling up with you or in her bean bag, and 30% running around the backyard, burning energy with zoomies (she's surprisingly fast!). She wants nothing more than to be loved and get pets. <br/><br/>Mollie does have a few quirks worth noting. As mentioned before, she isn't a fan of the leash or going for walks. She will let you put the leash on her but she won't be happy about it. She occasionally gets car sick by drooling, gagging and sometimes even vomiting on the longer rides. She also has some general anxiety, as most pitties do. <br/><br/>The ideal home for Mollie would be one where her pet parents are present often. This doesn't have to be 24/7 but she does love to be around her people. She gets along well with other animals and currently lives with cats, a tortoise and chickens (with a fence between her and the chickens). She always wants to play with other dogs and loves doggie playtime at her boarding facility. We are confident she would do really well with another dog but she would also be totally fine as the only pet. She is also used to living with a 1 year old in the same house and does really well around the toddler. She's never shown any aggression or behavioral issues since bringing a baby into the family. <br/><br/>We hope this gives you an idea of who Mollie is!
