Mojito “Mo”'s Story
Mojito is as AMAZING as he is GEORGIOUS!
UNBELIEVABLE people just continue to dump tons of wonderful animals to quickly face their demise in shelters. We picked Mojito (Aka: Loaf) up the day he was going to be euthanized. We are overflowing with dogs that need homes but just cannot stand to see these lives constantly being taken away for NO REASON!
We immediately took Mojito out the following day to get a better feel for him. He did great! He is lightly unexposed, so new things he hesitates a bit with, but with a little soft coaxing he quickly complies. He is good in a car, a little hesitant in getting in, but good on the ride.
He was good at the dog park with a few dogs that he met. He was lucky enough to get dinner out at Lazy Dog the same day. Again a little hesitant to walk in even by the dogs smaller than him but quickly corrected. He did fabulous on the patio next to many dogs and families with children. He ate his pup bowl like a gentleman and took small bites very gently from the hand. He is low to medium energy. But when really happy with the situation, he can display a little higher play level. A second visit later to the park he was a little more keyed up as he’s now been kenneled for a while and needs to decompress. He gets overly excited for a while until he burns down a bit of energy. When you finally lands home with regular attention, regular feeding routine and exercise or playtime this will level out. He is good on a leash and tends to burn down pretty fast on walks. He's very gentle and very loving. Mojito would be a superb companion and family member for a single person, couple or a family. A home with another dog that was low key would be great, so he has the best of both worlds. He is very submissive. He does need a home where he will get a good amount of attention as he's kind of a big baby :).
We'd love for you to meet this guy as soon as possible as he really deserves the immediate attention and connection, comfort and love of a great home that will never abandon him again!
He is estimated to be just over 1 year old and presumably a Labsky (Husky/Labrador mix)
Noted as house trained but we are not sure of this. He has adapted to some situations that were really difficult for him so he is very trainable!
Please don’t let this guy continue to sit in the abyss! Contact us today to set up a meet and greet or ask us any questions!
TEXT OR CALL US!
520-483-9207 or
323-558-8093
