Moe is a big, goofy Dane-Lab mix who’s just about a year old. This energetic guy is full of life and has a personality as big as his paws! Moe is mouthy and will need consistent training and socialization to learn some manners and curb his enthusiastic behavior.<br/><br/>He has been good with other dogs, especially those who can keep up with his high energy levels. Due to his rough “love style,” Moe isn’t recommended for small children, and we aren’t sure how he would do with cats.<br/><br/>If you’re ready for a playful, bouncy, and lovable companion who will keep you laughing while learning the ropes of life together, Moe could be the perfect match!

Powhatan Sheriff's Office - Animal Control's Adoption Policy
Apon having interest in adopting an animal from our shelter, you can call or come between 9am and 4pm to meet the animal you are interested in. If after meeting said animal, you are still interested, you will begin the application process. You will be asked to fill out an application and we will need a copy of a valid driver's license or ID. If you have other dogs, they will need to come in to do a meet and greet. We recommend bringing your dog(s) after you have come by yourself to meet the animal. The staff here at the shelter will review your application and you will either be approved or not approved. If approved, you will be able to come and pick up your new family member! If you have other dogs, we recommend coming to pick up your new pet alone, without your other animals.
