Misty

Misty is a 4 1/2 year-old Shih Tzu who was a breeder release to rescue. She is a very sweet girl who loves to follow you around and be near you. However, because of her history, she is not used to being picked up and handled. She very much wants to but she is afraid. We have been taking things slow, and she is becoming more comfortable with her surroundings. She is not yet comfortable on a leash. She's not completely housebroken because she does not have a good way of telling you she needs to go outside. Misty loves other dogs and is very comfortable and used to being around other dogs. She also has no issue with children but will often run the other way if they get to jumping around. Misty would do best in a home where someone is around most of the time and willing to work with her. Finding a home for her that has some experience with a shy dog or even a breeder release would be extremely helpful! Regardless, Misty needs someone who is willing to push her outside of her comfort zone. She is extremely friendly and also extremely shy. Misty has been spayed and is current on all of her vaccinations. She is also microchipped. She is ready to meet her new family!
