Missy's Story
Missy is a nearly 6-month-old bully breed mix with a story that started with everyone wondering if she would even make it.
Born on January 5th, Missy was the tiny runt of an accidental litter. She was so small that her family wasn't sure she would survive, and she required bottle feeding and extra care in her earliest days. To everyone's delight, this little fighter proved them wrong. She regained her strength and has continued to thrive ever since.
Still smaller than the rest of her siblings, Missy has never let her size slow her down. In fact, she's developed quite the feisty personality! Once the puppy that her siblings pushed aside, she's now the one happily squeezing her way to the front of the food bowl. Tiny but mighty, Missy is catching up to her brothers and sisters, but she will likely always remain on the smaller side and is expected to mature around 3040 pounds.
Missy has been deeply loved her entire life, but she has not had much exposure to the outside world. Because of this, she approaches life with the socialization level of a much younger puppy. New people, car rides, leash walking, and unfamiliar environments are all things she is just beginning to learn about.
Despite her lack of experience, Missy has absolutely no behavioural issues. She is crate trained, incredibly sweet, and simply needs patient adopters who understand that confidence and social skills take time to develop. Puppies are constantly growing and changing, and part of the joy of adoption is watching their personalities blossom.
Most of Missy's siblings have already found homes with children, cats, and other animals and are doing wonderfully. As with many of her siblings, leash walking will likely be one of the biggest areas to work on as she continues learning about the world around her.
Missy is looking for a family that understands that love, patience, and consistency can go a long way. In return, this little survivor promises to fill your home with plenty of personality, laughter, and unconditional love.
Could Missy be the missing piece your family has been waiting for?
