Missy

Missy

Meet Missy! This tender, baby-faced, five-year-old expert lounger weighs twelve pounds and is a lovely balance of affectionate and independent. She'll cozy up near you and wag her tail in acknowledgment, but she's just as content relaxing solo in her own space.

She approaches new situations with a healthy mix of caution and curiosity, never overly bold or fearful. She's sweet and mellow with people of all kinds and polite and curious with other dogs, always up for a gentle sniff. She shows no signs of separation anxiety and settles in easily whether she's alone or there are guests around.

Missy is crate trained, has excellent leash manners, and knows sit and stay.

Her days are refreshingly simple: a morning walk she genuinely loves, followed by a leisurely rotation between her favorite beds around the house. She's not particularly interested in toys or fetch, but a brisk walk and a cozy spot to relax are really all she needs. Missy would do best in a calm, apartment-friendly home, ideally with someone leading a low to moderately active lifestyle who wants a devoted companion to bring along everywhere. Her foster describes her as a dainty little lady with a deer-like face and huge, sweet eyes, an endlessly calming presence who just wants to give and receive as much affection as possible.

Missy previously tested positive for heartworm and was treated before she was transported north. She also is on a prescription diet to prevent crystals.

INTERESTED IN ADOPTING?
To adopt Missy, apply on our website [www.truenorthrescue.org/adopt](https://www.truenorthrescue.org/adopt) and email adopt@truenorthrescue.org to follow up on your application.

PLEASE DO NOT EMAIL TO ASK IF HE/SHE IS AVAILABLE.
