Missy's Story

Breed: Siberian Husky / Australian Shepherd / Rottweiler mix
Age: 2 years
Gender: Female
Weight: 36 lbs
House Training: Mostly housetrained
Crate Training: Great in a crate
Training: Working on basic manners; knows how to sit and loves to hear she’s a good girl!
Good With: Dogs, cats (still learning not to chase), and kids of all ages

Missy is a gentle soul who’s still learning that the world is a safe and happy place. She can be shy and timid at first, but once she feels comfortable, her sweet personality begins to shine. She does wonderfully with other animals and children, and she’s a quiet companion who appreciates calm, patient energy around her.

She absolutely LOVES other dogs and truly relies on them for emotional comfort. In her foster home, she’s very playful with younger dogs and adores the older “big boy” of the house, often sticking close to him for reassurance. Missy also has a soft spot for her foster’s 3-year-old grandson. She’s incredibly gentle with him (though his toys are just as fascinating to her as he is!).

Missy is alert and attentive—she’s discovered her voice and will let you know if she hears something unusual, but she quiets right down once she realizes everything’s okay.

This clever girl does have a bit of an adventurous side. She can be an escape artist! Missy will need a secure, 6-foot fenced yard (preferably with anti-dig protection) to keep her safe while she enjoys her outdoor time.
Missy is truly a sweetheart who just needs a patient, loving home willing to give her the time and security she deserves. Once she trusts you, she’ll reward you with endless loyalty, gentle affection, and a heart full of love.
