Miss Maple's Story

Meet Miss Maple

If you're looking for a dog who believes personal space is overrated, Miss Maple would like to submit her application immediately.

At 3 years old and 43 lbs, Miss Maple is what we lovingly call a "lap dog trapped in a larger body." We believe she's some sort of Pug mix, and once you see that curly tail and expressive face, you'll understand why. The resemblance is uncanny!

Miss Maple comes with quite the resume:
Knows how to sit and shake
Walks nicely on a leash
Gets along well with other dogs
Crate trained
Potty trained
Expert-level cuddler

And when we say she loves to snuggle, we mean she takes the job seriously. Miss Maple's favorite place is as close to her people as possible. If she can sit on your lap, lean into you, or somehow become one with you on the couch, she's perfectly content.

She would be happy as an only dog or with a canine companion. While she enjoys other dogs, what Miss Maple truly craves is affection, quality time, and plenty of physical contact with her people.

Her recall is still a work in progress. We suspect she may have spent much of her life roaming on her own, so she's still learning that staying close to her family has its advantages. Because of this, a securely fenced yard would be beneficial.

Miss Maple has a heart full of love and enough snuggles to last a lifetime. She's ready to trade her wandering days for a forever home where she can be cherished, spoiled, and remind everyone daily that yes, 43-pound dogs can absolutely be lap dogs.

Could Miss Maple be the missing piece of your family?

Adoption Info:
All of our animals are fully vetted, which includes spay/neuter, up-to-date vaccines, deworming, heartworm testing and treatment if necessary, current flea/tick/heartworm prevention, and microchipping prior to adoption.

To start the adoption process, please fill out our application here:
https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/WAG/Dog

Please note:
The dog youre applying for may already have a meet-and-greet scheduled or have been offered to another rescue within our network.
