Mishka should not be confused with a mishmash. She is not a disorderly mixture of things or hodgepodge. She is a gorgeous 2 year old Newfoundland female in the Landseer variety. The Newfoundland is a hard working dog, and the Landseer is a dog made for hard work. Newfoundlands are known to be sweet-natured and Landseers love more attention to stay calm. Mishka knows where to potty, is crate trained and walks well on a leash. She knows quite a few commands that will delight you. Just offer a treat and say sit, stay, lay down, no, come or shake and do it she will. Mishka has been an inside dog but will get into things if given the chance. That makes her crate training very valuable. She will let you know if something needs your attention and if she gets bored, she might dig up a treasure in the backyard. She won't chew up your remote and has not been allowed on furniture in her previous home. She has gone on car adventures and likes to see the sights. She needs to meet new dogs on her terms in a slow fashion, but then she is fine, and she is good with kids. We will find out how she feels about cats.
