Mira's Story

**Available to go Home after May 30th

Mira
Estimated Birthday: 1/17/2026
Breed: Great Pyrenees
Adoption Fee: $465

Meet Mira part polar bear cub, part cuddle bug, part tiny tornado with paws.

Miras story started in a place no puppy should ever have to call home: abandoned on the side of a rural road with her two sisters, laying quietly in the grass and waiting for someone to notice them. Thankfully, someone did, and now this fluffy Great Pyrenees girl is getting the second chance she always deserved.

At first, Mira can be a little nervous in new situations. Sudden movements? Suspicious. People standing up too quickly? Very concerning. Random noises? Clearly worth investigating. But once she realizes youre safe, her sweet personality shines through in the best way possible. She quickly transforms into a loving, playful puppy who wants cuddles, pets, snacks, toys, and to be wherever her people (and foster dog siblings) are.

Mira is a classic Great Pyrenees puppy through and through. She plays hard, naps hard, and occasionally believes towels are her mortal enemy. She absolutely loves stuffed toys, enjoys car rides (where she usually just curls up and naps like the princess she is), and has mastered the art of using her giant puppy paws to politely demand attention. Handsy may actually be her love language.

Shes incredibly sweet with other dogs and approaches them with wagging tails, kisses, and zero understanding of personal space. While she hasnt met cats yet, she has shown a gentle and submissive personality overall. Mira would likely do well with kids too, especially with her playful but loving disposition.

Now, lets be honest, Mira is still very much a puppy. Shes working on crate training, potty training, leash skills, and learning that not everything in life needs to be chewed on. She also occasionally does excited/nervous pees, which honestly just adds to her awkward baby giraffe charm. Like any Great Pyrenees, shell need a patient family committed to training and understanding the breeds quirks. A secure, tall fence is highly recommended because these majestic fluffballs are known for wandering adventures and providing neighborhood security commentary at all hours.

Mira may grow into a 90+ pound guardian dog someday, but right now shes just a soft-hearted baby figuring out the world one cuddle at a time.

If youre looking for a loyal best friend with giant paws, an even bigger heart, and enough fluff to cover every outfit you own... Mira is waiting for you.

This is a typical puppy, She eats a bunch, poops a lot, plays hard and sleeps even harder. She working on her house-training skills but you can expect to have to train! She a quick learner. Puppies require training, so this puppy is no different. We highly encourage enrolling in a training program to teach your new addition good manners and to help her be well socialized. Please remember puppies demand a lot of your time and pets are a commitment for life.

Before emailing- please read:
- Yes, this dog is available for adoption
- Apply at c2cnd.org
- The adoption fee covers their age appropriate shots, microchip, deworming, spay/neuter, and any other medical expenses while in our care.
- Local adopters only.
