Mint's Story
MBR holds monthly adoption events on the 2nd Saturday of every month at Tractor Supply in Columbia Station, 24100 Royalton Road from 11 am - 2 pm. Questions can be emailed to rescue@mbrohio.com

Mint is a 60-pound Doberman mix with a gentle heart that’s growing bigger every day. This handsome boy is gaining both weight and confidence in his foster home, and it’s been beautiful to watch him blossom. Mint is crate trained, potty trained, and walks nicely on a leash — he truly enjoys getting outside to explore and soak up the fresh air. He’s playful and will happily entertain himself with a favorite toy, especially if it’s a soft stuffy he can “de-fluff” or a good dog bone to chew. After playtime, Mint is perfectly content curling up nearby for a cozy nap, especially if his favorite humans are close.

Mint is good with other dogs and has done well with the children in his foster home. He’s been gentle and sweet, but because he can be a bit sensitive and still building confidence, he may do best in a home without very young toddlers. Mint appreciates when new people let him sniff their hand first before offering a gentle pet. He communicates politely — if he walks away, he’s simply asking for a little space. When his boundaries are respected, he thrives.

This sweet boy can take a little time to warm up to new people, but once he trusts you, he is incredibly loving and loyal. He truly enjoys being close to “his” people. Mint does have a couple quirks that make him extra special. He is currently afraid of indoor stairs and refuses to go up or down them. He’s also still working on basic commands and hasn’t quite mastered “sit” yet. His foster family practices daily, and he will need a patient, encouraging home willing to continue building his confidence and training at his pace. Mint isn’t looking for perfection — he’s looking for patience, kindness, and a family who will help him continue to grow into the amazing dog he’s meant to be. In return, you’ll get a sweet, loyal companion who will stay close by your side and fill your home with quiet love.

If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, the first thing to do is submit an application for approval. All dogs available for adoption are in foster homes. Please do not visit the rescue location as it is a privately run boarding, training & grooming facility. Individual meet and greets are scheduled by appointment only for approved adopters.

MBR Farm is offering ONE Free Private Training session for dogs adopted from us in the month of March. That is a $125 value. Any additional session will be discounted to $80 per private session for an unlimited amount of sessions. No limit, no time limit.

Your first session must be completed before May 1, 2026. After May 1st the cost of your first session will be a discounted rate of $100.

For more information about training offered by MBR Farm please visit http://www.mbrfarm.com

Age: 2 years

Adoption Fee: $450
