Minnow's Story

Minnow - Just Keep Swimming!

Everyone meet Minnow, a sweet little 1–2-year-old, 30-pound Pit Bull/Rat Terrier mix who has already been through more than any dog should.
Minnow was living alone with his beloved mama dog during a brutal heat wave—with no air conditioning and no water, while their owner was hospitalized. Through it all, he had her. She was his comfort, his family, and his best friend.
Suddenly, the only world he knew was gone,
But just like Dory says... “Just keep swimming.”
And that’s exactly what this little guy is doing.
Minnow has made his way to rescue (and his mama is with a different wonderful rescue), and now he’s ready for the next chapter of his story—a chapter where he gets to be safe, loved, spoiled, and cherished forever.

At just 30 pounds, Minnow is the perfect size for someone looking for a little buddy with a BIG heart. We know his happily-ever-after is still out there waiting for him.

Minnow is good in a crate and will need a family willing to help this shy boy gain a little confidence again. He is good with other dogs and while cats are unknown we could cat test him for an approved applicant. He will need a little work with housebreaking, and a consistent routine and environment should help him in this department.

Minnow’s motto: Keep swimming. Keep hoping. Keep loving. His goal: A forever home. His wish: To be someone’s special boy again.

Could you be the person who helps Minnow finally reach the shore?

Just keep swimming, Minnow. Your forever family is out there.

Minnow is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. He is also heartworm tested negative and up to date on preventatives and wellness visits.

Interested in adopting Minnow?
