Miner's Story
Miner
8 years, 11lbs
Rescued in the Southwest

Meet Miner! This sweet, spunky 8-year-old, 11-pound guy has a knack for melting hearts on sight. He's medium-to-high energy and an absolute lover of people — a little shy when first meeting someone new, but he warms up fast and adjusts to new situations with impressive ease. He LOVES other dogs too, always respectful of boundaries and gentle in his approach. Miner is fully potty trained, crate trained, and walks beautifully on leash, settling comfortably into his crate each night after his last evening walk.

Miner's days follow a happy, consistent rhythm: morning walk, breakfast and play, a midday outing, more chill time and food, an afternoon walk, and one more before bed. He'd do well as a solo dog or alongside a canine companion, is an amazing fit for NYC apartment living, and thrives in a moderate household that values regular walks and outdoor time — he'd suit an adopter who works from home just as well as one who's out of the house during the day. What stands out most about Miner is his sheer capacity for love: he's a silly, affectionate little guy who lives for kisses and being close to his person. Whoever adopts Miner is going to be one lucky human.

**Miner previously tested positive for heartworm and was treated before he left Texas

INTERESTED IN ADOPTING?
To adopt apply on our website www.truenorthrescue.org/adopt and email adopt@truenorthrescue.org to follow up on your application.

PLEASE DO NOT EMAIL TO ASK IF HE/SHE IS AVAILABLE. IF THIS LISTING IS UP, THE DOG IS NOT ADOPTED YET.

Also, we have a very high volume of applications and we are all volunteers. We cannot respond to every application personally. Please make sure your application gives us a good picture of your family and the life you plan on providing a dog from our rescue.
