Meet Milo in PA - Smart, Silly, Happy Boy!

Great news for the Pyr and Husky lovers out there - you don’t have to chose between these two very loveable breeds with Milo, a young Pyr/Husky mix who offers up the best of both worlds! He is a very smart, silly and happy boy. Like a typical Pyr he can be lovingly stubborn and like a typical husky he loves to “sing” for his humans. This boy takes a little while to warm up to new humans but once he does, he’s very loving and sweet. Milo is an active boy and would love a family who will commit to giving him the time and attention to get comfortable in his new environment. We’re still getting to know Milo so are unsure how he would do living with cats and dogs - he has had exposure to other dogs at the kennel and enjoys playing with them, however, he might also like being only dog getting all the attention. A home with kids 12 or older or no kids would allow Milo to thrive. He’s looking for a home with a fenced in yard where he can safely play since he absolutely loves to play (his ball and rope toy is his favorite!) Milo isn’t a fan of getting wet so you’ll get a good laugh when he tries to wipe the water off himself with his paw. Both of these breeds bring so much to the table and Milo will make the right family very happy!

Due to the high level of interest we can't respond to emails unless an application has been submitted.

Our goal is to assess every application on its own merits. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature (www.nationalpyr.org/know-the-breed) and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority.

Secure VISIBLE fencing is required; invisible fencing WILL NOT contain this breed.
