Millie's Story

Meet Millie!

Millie is a tiny Yorkshire Terrier with a curious spirit and an adorable determination to figure out this whole "pet life" thing.

After spending much of her life in a breeding environment, Millie is experiencing many everyday family activities for the very first time. While she can be cautious around new people and situations, her curiosity usually wins out. She loves to see what's going on and is often ready to investigate before deciding whether something is scary or exciting.

Millie is discovering that people can be pretty wonderful. Though she may be a little hesitant at first, she enjoys being held and will happily soak up affection once she feels comfortable. Watching her confidence grow a little more each day has been one of the joys of fostering her.

This smart little girl is already learning household routines. She quickly figured out which door leads outside and settles nicely into her kennel at night, where she sleeps quietly and keeps her sleeping area clean.

Leash walking is still a work in progress, but Millie is trying hard. She prefers a patient, gentle approach and likes to move at her own pace while she builds confidence. With encouragement and consistency, she continues to make wonderful progress.

Millie gets along well with other dogs and would love a home that can provide patience, structure, and plenty of encouragement as she continues learning what it means to be a cherished family member.

If you're looking for a sweet, inquisitive little companion and enjoy celebrating the small victories that come with helping a shy dog blossom, Millie is ready to steal your heart.
