Mila Brooke's Story

Itty bitty but overflowing with love, Mila Brooke is only about 9 lbs, and that’s 9 lbs of sweetness. Mila loves to snuggle, especially a human friend. She seems a little weary of other dogs at first, but she is learning to be cautiously curious about meeting new dogs, and she has even allowed her foster siblings to nap near her (as long as a person is also nearby)!

In the short time we’ve known Mila, here are some things we’ve noticed:

Mila LOVES people! Everyone she’s met has been her instant friend, and her tail never stops wagging when people are around. She is the perfect lapdog; she’s the most content when being held or sitting in your lap!
Mila LOVES her brother, Willie, and would thrive best if adopted with him. She has been very sad when separated from him.
Mila LOVES belly rubs and will immediately roll over for them whenever the opportunity arises! She also loves to give kisses.
Mila doesn’t like to be alone. She can be totally asleep but as soon as you move or leave the room, she’ll be wide awake and by your side in an instant. She’ll whimper if she can’t see you.
Mila does well in her crate, but she cries a little bit when she first goes in. She just wants to be glued to your side.
Mila is learning about doggy ramps; she has learned to go down them in just a couple of days but isn’t so sure on the going up part yet.
Mila loves to be outside, sniffing around and chomping fresh grass.
Mila hasn’t shown any interest in toys yet, but she might become more playful once she gets comfortable. She loves using her nose and has been enjoying her snuffle mat for indoor nose work.
Mila loves treats and her meals, and she hasn’t shown any aggression during mealtimes.
Mila is potty trained and doesn’t need to potty often, even though she likes to go outside and explore a lot. She also knows her name and will come running, tails whipping side to side, when called.

Mila is a tiny girl just seeking comfort in a big world. She will return the love you give her tenfold!
