MILA's Story
Mila – ID #18896 – Kennel #319 – Arrived May 10th – Terrier Mix – Tan and White – Female – Approx. 2 Years Old – 11 lbs – Will Be Spayed Prior to Adoption – Up to Date on Vaccines – Heartworm Positive

Meet Mila, an approximately two-year-old Terrier mix who arrived at Cobb Animal Services on May 10th. She is a tiny, fluffy girl with a soft tan and white coat, a scruffy little face, and the kind of sweet expression that makes it very hard to walk past her kennel without stopping. At 11 pounds, she is perfectly portable and completely adorable.

Mila is super sweet, very cute, house trained, and already knows how to sit — which tells you she has been cared for and is ready to fit right into a loving home. She is good with children and prefers a home without cats. If you have a resident dog, a meet and greet at the shelter is always a great way to see how they hit it off. Her owner surrendered her simply because they had no time for her — and a girl this sweet deserves someone who does.

Mila is heartworm positive. If you live in Georgia, Cobb Animal Services will cover the entire cost of heartworm treatment if you adopt her. You simply need to bring her back for her scheduled treatment appointments and give the prescribed oral medication at home. Heartworms are not contagious between dogs. With proper treatment and care, heartworm-positive dogs can go on to live full, happy lives.

Mila has so much love to give and nowhere to put it right now. She is young, she is sweet, she is house trained, and once her treatment is complete she will be as good as new and ready to live her very best life. All she needs is someone with the time and heart to give her the home she has always deserved.

Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER.

This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136.
