Meet Midnight <br/>Some dogs come into rescue because they are lost.<br/>Midnight came into rescue because he was unwanted.<br/>When this handsome all-black German Shepherd was found wandering in a rural Oklahoma community, the finder was hopeful that his microchip would help reunite him with his family. Unfortunately, when the number on the microchip was called, the response was heartbreaking:<br/>"I don't want him back."<br/>Just like that, Midnight's future was uncertain.<br/>Thankfully, the person who found him wasn't willing to let that be the end of his story. They reached out to Fairy Dogmother Rescue and graciously agreed to foster him while we search for the forever family he deserves.<br/>And what a dog he is.<br/>Midnight is fully vetted, neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. He is also one of the sweetest, most gentle German Shepherds you could ever hope to meet.<br/>He isn't loud.<br/>He isn't demanding.<br/>He isn't destructive.<br/>He is simply a good dog.<br/>The one thing that becomes obvious when you spend time with Midnight is that life hasn't always been kind to him. While most dogs naturally know how to play, chase a toy, roll in the grass, or seek affection, Midnight seems to be learning those things for the very first time.<br/>His foster family is teaching him that he doesn't have to sit on the sidelines of life anymore.<br/>They're teaching him that grass is meant to be rolled in.<br/>That toys are meant to be chased.<br/>That belly rubs are pretty wonderful.<br/>That humans can be trusted.<br/>And every day, this beautiful boy becomes a little braver.<br/>Midnight is wonderful on a leash, rides beautifully in the car, and is happiest simply being near his people.
